Privacy Policy - ATS Signal
How ATS Signal handles resumes and job descriptions: local browser processing, no accounts, no file uploads, and no sale of personal data.
Plain-language summary. Your resume and job description are read in your browser. We do not receive, store, or sell them. There is no account and no resume database. Our hosting provider may process standard request data, and we only receive personal data if you email us. Advertising and analytics are not active in this build.
What this means in practice: you can use the checker without sending us a file. The main privacy risk is the device you use, not a server-side resume collection. This summary is not a substitute for the full policy below.
1. Scope and who is responsible
This policy explains how ATS Signal handles personal data when you visit aiagentusa.com, use the resume checker, read a guide, open a role keyword page, or contact us. It covers the public website and its pages. It does not cover a third-party website that you reach through an external link.
ATS Signal is published by AI Agent USA, an independent online brand. For the limited personal data described in this policy, AI Agent USA is the controller. You can contact us at ghaffour2019@gmail.com. Put "Privacy" in the subject line so the message is routed correctly.
This policy is written for a worldwide audience. Some rights apply only in specific countries or states. We identify those rights below. If a local law gives you a stronger right, that law controls.
2. Resume and job description data
The checker is browser-only. When you choose a PDF, DOCX, or TXT file, your browser reads the file on your device. The file is not uploaded to our server. When you paste a resume or a job description, the text stays in the page. The analysis runs in JavaScript on your device.
We do not receive, store, log, sell, or share your resume, job description, extracted text, score, issue list, or report. The site has no account system, no resume database, and no server endpoint that accepts a resume file. The PDF.js and Mammoth libraries used to read files are served from this site and run locally. We do not use resume content to train AI models, and the checker does not send it to a generative AI service.
The report is held in the page's memory so you can read, print, or download it. Refreshing or closing the page clears it. The download is created in your browser. We do not use local storage, session storage, or cookies to keep resume content. Browser extensions, accessibility tools, or other software on your device may have their own access to the page; those tools are outside our control.
Please do not email a resume. If you choose to send one, you are deliberately sending it to us, and it will be handled as email rather than as a local checker upload. We prefer that you describe the issue instead.
3. Technical data and hosting
Like most websites, the hosting provider that delivers this site may process standard request data. This can include an IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, requested URL, referring page, timestamp, and security signals. The provider uses this data to deliver pages, protect the service from abuse, diagnose errors, and measure aggregate reliability.
We do not combine request data with resume content because we do not receive resume content. We do not ask for your name, postal address, phone number, government identification number, or date of birth to use the checker. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include in that message.
The site is a static website. Page requests and asset requests are handled by the host. The checker does not call a resume-processing API, and it does not send the contents of the file or the text fields to an analytics service.
4. Analytics, cookies, and local storage
The current build does not enable advertising or analytics scripts by default. In that configuration, the site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. The hosting provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie or use similar technical measures to keep the service available and prevent abuse. Those measures support delivery and security, not advertising profiles.
If Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled, it provides aggregate page views, referrers, country-level data, and performance measurements without cookies or cross-site tracking. It does not receive resume content. The analytics token is blank in the current configuration.
We do not use local storage or session storage to keep resume text, job descriptions, or reports. Clearing the form or closing the page removes the working copy from the page. Your browser may keep a downloaded report according to your own download settings.
| Data | Where it stays | Why | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Resume file and extracted text | Your device and browser memory | Local analysis | Until you clear the form or close the page |
| Job description and report | Your device and browser memory | Comparison and fix list | Until you clear the form or close the page |
| Request data | Hosting provider | Delivery, security, reliability | According to the provider's policy |
| Email you send us | Email provider and our inbox | Replying and keeping a record | As long as needed for the request and legal obligations |
| Analytics or ad data | Provider, only if enabled | Aggregate measurement or advertising | According to the provider's policy and your choices |
5. Advertising and future changes
We may fund the site with advertising on guide and content pages. We do not place ad code inside the resume checker, this policy, the terms, or agent files. In the current build, no advertising script is active and no publisher ID is configured.
If we enable Google AdSense or another advertising partner, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, measure, and limit ads. Google and its partners may use information from this site and other sites to personalize ads. This can include a cookie identifier, approximate location derived from an IP address, browser information, and ad interaction data. It does not include your resume because we do not send resume content to an ad partner.
We will not enable personalized advertising for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland until a Google-certified TCF consent management platform is in place. Visitors in those regions will be able to accept, reject, or manage advertising purposes. We will not serve personalized ads to a visitor who declines the relevant consent.
You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at Google's partner-sites page. You can manage personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. You can also use the "Privacy choices" link in the footer to reach this section. We do not sell resume data because we do not collect it.
6. Email and other messages
If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message, any attachments you choose to send, and standard email metadata. We use that information to answer your question, investigate a correction, protect the site from abuse, and keep a record of the conversation.
We keep email only as long as needed for the request, a documented correction, or a legal obligation. We do not add email addresses to a marketing list, and we do not sell them. Please do not send a resume, government identification, health information, or other sensitive material. If you need to describe a resume problem, use a redacted example or describe the file structure instead.
Email is not a secure channel for sensitive data. If you send personal data by email, you accept the risks of that channel. You can ask us to delete an earlier message, subject to any record we need to keep for legal or security reasons.
7. Legal bases for visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on the following grounds:
- Legitimate interests. Delivering the site, keeping it secure, preventing abuse, diagnosing technical problems, and responding to messages. We keep this processing limited to what the service needs.
- Consent. Analytics, advertising cookies, and personalized advertising where consent is required. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that happened before the withdrawal.
- Legal obligation. Keeping or disclosing information when a valid legal request requires it, or when we need to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We do not use the checker to make automated decisions about you. The score is a text heuristic for your own use, not an employment decision, credit decision, or legal determination.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask whether we hold personal data about you and receive a copy.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Ask us to delete data we hold.
- Ask us to restrict or object to certain processing.
- Receive data in a portable format where the law provides that right.
- Withdraw consent for analytics or advertising.
- Complain to a data protection authority.
Because the checker does not send resume content to us, a request about a resume will usually return no record. We may still hold an email you sent us or standard request data held by the host. To make a request, email ghaffour2019@gmail.com with the subject "Privacy request." We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and to locate the relevant record. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you can complain to your local supervisory authority. We would appreciate the chance to address the issue first. If you are in another region, you can contact the privacy or consumer authority that applies to you.
9. U.S. privacy rights
In the current ad-free build, we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly defined. We do not collect resume content. If we enable advertising, we will update this policy and provide the choices required by applicable state law before personalized advertising begins.
California residents may have the right to know what personal information is collected, used, or disclosed; the right to delete; the right to correct; the right to opt out of sale or sharing; the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information through the checker. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows it. We will verify the request and respond within the time required by law.
Residents of other U.S. states with privacy laws may have similar rights, including rights to access, correct, delete, or opt out. Use the contact address above and include your state and the right you are exercising. We do not currently run cross-site tracking, so there is no separate cross-site profile to delete.
There is no uniform industry standard for responding to browser Do Not Track signals. In the current build we do not run cross-site tracking. If we add analytics or advertising that requires an opt-out, we will honor consent choices and recognized opt-out preference signals where the law requires it.
10. Retention and security
Resume files, job descriptions, and reports stay on your device until you clear the form or close the page. Server request data is retained by the hosting provider under its own policy. Email is retained as long as needed for the request, a correction record, or a legal obligation. Analytics and advertising data, if those services are enabled, are retained under the provider's policy and your choices.
We use HTTPS, keep the tool free of accounts and server-side resume storage, limit the data we ask for, and avoid unnecessary third-party scripts. No website, device, or transmission method is completely secure. You are responsible for the security of your device, browser, downloads, and email account.
11. International visitors and children
The site is available worldwide. Our hosting and email providers may process technical data in the United States or other countries. Where required, we rely on the safeguards offered by those providers and applicable law. Because resume processing happens locally, your resume is not transferred to us.
The site is intended for job seekers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are below the age at which you can consent to online services in your country, use the site with a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
12. Changes and contact
We will update this policy when our practices change or when the law requires it. The date at the top and bottom of this page shows the current version. If a change is material, we will make the change visible on this page before it takes effect. Continued use after an update means you have had the opportunity to read the revised policy.
Privacy questions and requests: ghaffour2019@gmail.com. Please use the subject "Privacy" and do not send a resume. You can also read our terms of use, editorial policy, and methodology.
