Resume scan
One resume, one job post, one fix list.
What to fix first Prioritized
Fix the highest-priority item in your source document first, then rescan. Do not add a keyword unless you can defend it in an interview.

How reliable is this scan? -
Not a hiring probability. This is a rules-based text scan. It cannot see the employer's ATS settings, the visual document, or human review, and it does not predict whether you will get an interview.

What the ATS sees Extracted text
ATS Signal is an independent planning tool, not a hiring decision or a probability of an interview. We do not store resumes, and we cannot guarantee a particular ATS outcome. Read how the score and confidence range work.
How it works
Three steps. No account. No upload.
The scan is intentionally plain: read the file, compare the language, and give you edits you can make today. No black-box hiring predictions.
Add your resume
Upload a PDF, DOCX, or TXT, or paste the text. We extract the text locally so you can see what a parser may see.
Paste the job post
The job description supplies the employer's language: tools, skills, outcomes, and requirements. This is what makes the match meaningful.
Work the fix list
Start with high-priority issues, add only truthful keywords, strengthen evidence, and rescan once. Then apply.
What we check
A practical scan, not a mystery score.
Every signal in the report is visible to you. You can see the extracted text, the missing terms, and the reasoning behind each fix.
Parsing
Can the document be read?
Contact details, core sections, unusual characters, and table-style text. The "What the ATS sees" panel shows the actual extracted text.
Evidence
Does it show impact?
Action verbs, measurable outcomes, bullet structure, word count, and weak phrases such as "responsible for."
Match
Does it speak the employer's language?
Weighted keyword coverage from the job post, with the top missing terms separated from the terms you already cover.
Privacy by design
Your resume is nobody's dataset.
We built the checker as a static browser tool so there is no resume database to breach, no account to cancel, and no upload to trust.

Is the resume checker really free?
Yes. There is no account, no paywall, and no upload. The scan runs in your browser. We keep the tool free and use advertising on the guide pages to support the site.
Does my resume leave my browser?
No. PDF, DOCX, and TXT files are read locally with JavaScript. The resume text and job description are not sent to our server. Closing or refreshing the page clears the report.
How does the score work?
The score combines contact details, core sections, evidence signals such as action verbs and metrics, formatting risks, and weighted keyword coverage from the job description. It is a planning heuristic, not a prediction from any employer's ATS.
Why do I need a job description?
The employer's wording is the best clue to what its systems and recruiters will search for. Without a job post, the tool can only run a general structure and evidence scan.
How reliable is the score?
Each report shows a confidence level and an estimated score range based on the amount and quality of text you provide. Confidence is about the input, not your odds. A browser scan cannot see the employer's ATS configuration, the visual layout, or human review, so it is never a probability of an interview.
Will this guarantee an interview?
No. Hiring depends on fit, timing, competition, referrals, and human judgment. The report is designed to help you remove avoidable problems and make your evidence easier to find.
Is ATS Signal affiliated with an ATS vendor?
No. ATS Signal is an independent tool from AI Agent USA. We do not have access to employer systems, and we cannot reproduce every vendor's parser or scoring rules.
